Yoga Nidra Stress Relief

Yoga Nidra relaxation was the topic and the experience in this video!

I was so happy to have the opportunity again to spend time with Kaitlyn Casso. I had a blast doing my first podcast with her in early January of this year!

I truly admire Kaitlyn as an entrepreneur and as a young woman who is always allowing herself to step out of her comfort zone to live the life that she truly wants to live. She’s going to be a speaker on Adversity Advantage Virtual Summit, May 4th – 8th. I am so crazy excited for her!

Kaitlyn and I recorded this video back on March 25th. Two days before our filming, my practice doors had been shut down as a “non-essential business” while COVID-19 was changing our world as we knew it.

I see clients remote via Zoom or FaceTime, however, people were not searching the internet for ‘hypnotist near me to lose weight or to stop smoking’. People were in a frenzy searching anything related to COVID-19.

And there sat Kaitlyn safely at home and I sat safely alone in my office. The other clinicians in my office suite had already begun seeing their patients and clients remotely from their homes.

It was the beginning of “social distancing” for us here in CT.

I tend to use what I consider to be more gentle words, “physical distancing”, to help ease the deep pain that I am feeling at this time in the pandemic.

There we were, Kaitlyn (my cousin!) and myself, experiencing human connection, shared peace and stress relief in every part of our being.

Taking care of ourselves during the pandemic is detrimental to our well being; mentally, emotionally, physically.

Yoga Nidra is a simple technique to release stress from our mind and body…

  • Make yourself comfortable on a piece of furniture or a yoga mat.
  • Take a deep breath in and out, allowing your eyes to close.
  • Follow the voice of the instructor with awareness and feeling.
  • That’s it – doing absolutely nothing and reaping tremendous benefits.

During this brief Yoga Nidra session, may you experience, becoming no body, no one, no thing, no where, in no time, just as Kaitlyn did.
