I recently had the absolute pleasure of interviewing Traci Weber, an innovative yogi, business owner, and author who has devoted her life to sharing the healing power of yoga. Our conversation took place on Access TV, but the messages she shared extend far beyond the screen, they are lessons in resilience, authenticity, and the courage to live fully.
Yoga as a Lifeline
Traci openly shares that yoga quite literally saved her life. As a young adult, she found herself navigating the painful experience of her parents’ divorce. While many might crumble under such circumstances, yoga became her lifeline. Through movement and breath, she discovered a deeper connection to herself, a sense of grounding and stability that allowed her to move forward with strength and self-awareness.
Years later, yoga once again became her anchor during one of life’s most unimaginable challenges. When her 16-year-old daughter was diagnosed with a potentially fatal brain tumor, Traci turned to her practice to find the strength, clarity, and resilience she needed as a mother. Her story is a powerful reminder that yoga is not just about poses, it is a practice of survival, healing, and inner transformation.
Reclaim Your Wild
The main focus of our interview was Traci’s new book, Reclaim Your Wild: Strengthen Your Body, Nurture Your Soul, and Unleash Your Authentic Self on This 3-Day WalkAbout Yoga Journey.
This book is much more than a guide, it is an invitation to step away from the busyness of life and reconnect with your authentic self. Traci weaves together movement, mindfulness, and self-discovery, offering readers a path to return to their wild, untamed spirit. Her writing reflects the very energy she embodies: honest, courageous, and full of heart. (She is so precious!)
The WalkAbout Yoga Journey is not just about physical practice. It’s about creating sacred space for self-reflection, reconnecting with nature, and rediscovering the parts of yourself that may have been forgotten in the chaos of daily life. Whether you are new to yoga or have practiced for years, her book provides inspiration and tools to go deeper into your personal journey.
Rooted in Milford, CT
Beyond her book and WalkAbout Yoga, Traci is deeply connected to the Milford, Connecticut community. She is a business partner and instructor at Sangha Yoga Studio, a welcoming space where people of all levels can come together to practice, breathe, and grow. Sangha means “community,” and the studio truly reflects that spirit. It is a place where yoga is not just an individual practice but a shared experience.
Traci also co-owns AT Lost and Found, a unique boutique located in the heart of downtown Milford. Much like her approach to yoga, Lost and Found celebrates creativity, authenticity, and connection. It’s more than a shop, it’s a space where artistry and individuality are embraced.
Through these ventures, Traci has become a vibrant thread in the fabric of Milford’s wellness and creative communities. Her work not only uplifts individuals but also enriches the town itself.
The Power of Sharing Stories
What struck me most about our conversation is the felt power of sharing personal stories. Traci’s journey is about more than yoga, it’s about using tools to navigate life’s hardest moments and finding strength when it feels impossible to go on. Her courage to speak openly about her struggles and triumphs is a gift to others who may be seeking hope or guidance.
When we share stories like Traci’s, we remind one another that healing and transformation are possible. Whether it’s through yoga, hypnosis, or other holistic practices, there are many ways to reconnect with ourselves and reclaim our lives.
